Tuesday February 25th:

A 1931 Home in Columbia: Photo Tour @ DBRL. Explore the history of Peter Bloch’s 1931 home through photos, showcasing its careful remodel while preserving 1930s charm. Guest speaker Peter Bloch, a retired Mizzou marketing professor, shares insights on the joys and challenges of owning a nearly century-old home. 6-7:45PM.

The End: Screening @ Ragtag Cinema. Come enjoy Joshua Oppenheimer (The Act of Killing, The Look of Silence) makes his fiction feature debut in The End, a post-apocalyptic musical. Followed by a moderated Q&A with director Joshua Oppenheimer. 6-9PM.

Silent Book Club @ Columbia Public Library. Join the most casual book club in town! B.Y.O.B. (bring your own book, that is), and enjoy conversations with other book lovers and one whole hour of silent reading. 6-7:30PM.

Michael Marcagi @ The Blue Note. The Cincinnati-based folk-rock singer-songwriter delivers heartfelt storytelling rooted in timeless American musical traditions. 7PM Doors open.

Wednesday February 26th:

“Clueless” Movie Night @ Six Mile Ordinary & Tasting Room. Feel free to bring your own snacks and food for the evening! Happy Hour From 5pm - 7pm. Movie starting at 7pm.

Tell Our Story: A Black History Month Concert @ Frederick Douglass High School. Thurs Feb 27th & Fri Feb 28th. This annual concert honors the Black experience through chamber music and storytelling, offering insight into Columbia’s past and inspiring investment in its future. 7-9PM.

Vincent Neil Emerson: The Big Wheels Tour @ Rose Music Hall. Vincent has become a staple among folk and country music fans nationwide, celebrated for his honest tales of life on the road, heartbreak, and struggles of all sorts. 7PM Doors open.

The Blue Note Dance Party. New York (by way of Tokyo) DJ & instrumentalist Takuya Nakamura brings the perfect amalgam of experimentation and dance floor ecstasy to this year’s rendition of the annual affair. 10PM Doors open.

A veritable summit of Chicago’s music splendor, math-rock delegates Finom are tee’d up by Tenci’s serenely melancholic folk-rock musings and the regal symphony of Resavoir to bring the Fest’s sonic aspects to a bombastic, joyful climax. Presented by True/False Film Fest. 8PM Doors open.

About: Located on the grounds of the Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri, this 16-suite “home away from home” serves veterans and current military families, providing free, temporary lodging for families of veterans receiving hospital care. The House is operated by Volunteerism and donations are overseen by The Friends of Mid-Missouri Fisher House, a 501(c)3 non-profit that raises funds to support the Fisher House. This group is supported by the Fisher House Foundation, an international charity based in the US. ➡️ Learn more
