Hey COMO, Did You Know…Katy Trail Was Almost a Highway.
The beloved Katy Trail State Park, a favorite for cyclists and hikers, was nearly turned into a highway after the Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT) Railroad ceased operations. Thankfully, it was preserved as a trail instead, becoming one of the longest rail-to-trail conversions in the U.S.
